Gallery of Contemporary Art

A story of a gallery foundation

The gallery was founded in 2009 by Andrey Gertsev and “Absolute” investment group. The main goal of the gallery is to represent accomplished international and contemporary artists and their paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography.
Our artists are represented in a vast range in museums and galleries and regularly take part in international exhibitions.
The gallery lies in the very centre of Moscow artistic life: in Contemporary Art Centre “Winzavod” with an area of more than 600 square meters. The design and conception of a space developed by Grigory Puzenkov, ceilings higher than five meters allow to install works of a big scale.
Collaborating with galleries and institutions in Russia as well as abroad this gallery wants to create continuous dialogue with a local and word society and to widen its network.

Artists whose works are shown in the gallery

Nalbi
He was born in 1965 in the city of Volzhsky.
Today he lives and works in Moscow.
In 1990, he graduated from painting and drawing department of Kuban State University.
Nalbi became famous after his first personal exhibition that took place in 1993. Since then he has been represented in galleries of Russia and USA, Germany and Sweden, Latvia, France and Spain.

Uwe Wittwer
He was born in 1954.
He lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
This Switzerland artists paints in water colour and oil, works with prints and video.
A raw material for Wittwiter works is a digital image that artists takes from internet. Wittwiter works with painting motives of the old masters, still lives, interiors, pictures of war and its consequences.

Andy Denzler
He was born in 1965 in Zurich. Today he lives and works in Zurich and London. He often participate in exhibitions in Europe and USA. His works are included in the biggest world collections of contemporary art.
Paintings of Andy Denzler grounds on photography and references to it. However this is not a clear version of photorealism, but long and consequently made research of effect that painting methods has. This is a gage to time due to acceleration and slowdown of the painting substance itself, its oil and acrylic surface.
