The theatre was created by Sergei Vladimirovich Obraztsov and became one of the places of interest in the capital city and the world cultural center.
The theatre owns two buildings at Garden Ring, has two stages, the unique specialized library and one of the biggest Museums of theatre dolls in the world.
An admission to museum is free if you have a ticket for a play. The observation and theatrical tours are held by previous reservation.
A repertoire of this famous and beloved place includes plays for children (3, 5 and 7 years — different plays for each age group) and for adults: “Small Tragedies” directed by Andrei Dennikov, “Carmen, my Carmen”, “Concerto for Chichikov with an Orchestra”, “The Curious Savage”, “The confession of a hooligan”, “Nijinsky, the Insane Clown of God”, etc.
