Hostel in downtown close to the “Propaganda” for 700 Rubles per day cost
NAPOLEON hostel is Moscow’s oldest and friendliest back-packing hostel and is located in the historic downtown area of Moscow known as Kitai- Gorod. Here you can experience the ‘old’ Moscow with cobbled streets, old merchant houses and quaint Orthodox churches.
This historical area is also the heart of Moscow’s nightlife and there are many bars and clubs, cheap restaurants and cafes to explore.
The main feature of “Napoleon” is its immediate proximity to the “Propaganda” club. You have to enter from the rear of the “McDonald’s”. It is an old building in Kitay-gorod district where you can find shared apartments which are still not settled apart. The hostel occupies one of those on the top floor. The porch is messed up in a measure and no elevator. On the landing there is a frame of an old leather chair and the smoking rules are attached to the wall. Polite Misha lodged in for 800 rubles (without any Internet booking).Philip Mironov’s story for The Village
