Still the only restaurant in Denmark to have earned two Michelin stars, Noma is expensive without being stuffy. With an attractive but unusual harbour-front setting (inside the North Atlantic Culture Centre) Noma proves that Nordic food can compete on the gourmet circuit.
Noma owner and head chef Rene Redzepi uses only ingredients found on Scandinavian soil – meaning you'll never find a sun-dried tomato on your plate. Instead, expect Faroe Isle mussels, Icelandic wild salmon, Gotland truffles and Greenlandic lamb. Unsurprisingly, this place gets booked up months in advance.
