This most beautiful construction of the Old Russian architecture was founded in the end of XV century by Ivan Bobrishchev.
Later, when it became the property of English Embassy in Russia, here took place ambassadors levees, trade agreements. The treasury and goods of the embassy also were stored here.
Today this unique place offers exclusive museum programs: theatrical and costume tours, interactive games for adults and children, historical performances.
Today in chambers that earlier were the property of English merchants one can take a walk accompanied by rental musketeer or English merchant who tells you stunning stories about the great past of Moscow and Russia.
An exhibition of every museum hall highlights bright and dynamic history of Russian and English relations in XVI-XVII and the long history of the house in its own way.
In “Navigation School” you can learn basics of geography, astronomy and navigation of XVI-XVII centuries while “Arithmetic” lesson will teach you the same way as three hundred years ago.
In the entrance hall of the Old English Court — Treasury Chamber — the concerts of the old chamber music take place.
