Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy is the first museum in Russia dedicated to the art of writing. Museum collection consists of unique patterns of writing. The world masterpieces created by recognised masters of calligraphy are among the exhibits. The museum has refined examples of European and Slavic writing, exquisite works of the Jewish and Arab schools of calligraphy, the strict forms of classical Japanese calligraphy, examples of ancient Chinese writing, which reveal which reveal history of calligraphy and reflect the new face of fine art, native and foreign books on calligraphy, rare manuscripts issued by the unit, writing instruments of past and present.
