In the Bulgakov Museum there is a monument to Mikhail Bulgakov by the sculptor Bazyuk, a model of the monument to Bulgakov of the Rukavishnikov's project dedicated to «The Master and Margarita». At the entrance there is a barelief by Rukavishnikov on the novel «The Master and Margarita».

The theater was not always called so.
In 2005, when a group of three enthusiasts began to be engaged in acting in the basement of Bulgakov's House, they did not think on the name for long and called themselves «The Basement».
In May, 2005 it was decided to organise an exposition of works by Catherine Luganskaya. The stage adaptation of this exposition became the first collaborative effort of the Bulgakov Museum, «The Basement» studio and the pantomime studio of Michael Spetsloz. And at the first ceremony the correct form of existence was found — the characters lived in a museum space as in their own world and every incoming visitor was a guest in this world. Noone bothered, noone tried to entertain the guest, he or she walked among the animated characters and could choose for himself who to observe and who not to pay attention to.
Of course, the uncontrollable newsmonger Anna was a little more verbose, but it is why she is Anna the Plague. And six months later — in December, 2006 the enlarged company of actors delivered the first performance.
