Built in 1971 in accordance with the project of Belopolsky, today it is the biggest stationary circus in the world.
An audience hall houses 3,310 visitors. The height of amphitheatre is 36 meters. Its unique technical possibilities allow to create original, innovative circus performances, spectacular shows as well as music and circus revues.
The arena of this circus has been and still is a working stage for company of Kostyuk as well as foreign masters from China, Mongolia, Holland, Italia, Hungary, Columbia and Kenya.
The company is in a constant search as it wants to create original circus performances, involve directors and ballet-masters from theatres and cinema.
Each season circus presents new program that lasts until Christmas. An then, during school winter holidays, circus creates special New Year Shows for children: a fairy tale that necessarily include Ded Moroz (Father Frost, Slavic equivalent of Santa Claus) and a Snow Maiden along with good and evil characters. These Christmas and New Year performances draw huge attention — 50-60 of them are shown during a fortnight with the full house!
